In the Springhouse Origin Stories class, we explored the history of the land and cultures that have lived in North America. We began by studying the Indigenous Peoples of our region and followed the timeline forward to explore European colonization and African slavery. This Zine is the work of our student’s primary sourced research into the lives of enslaved people during the 19th century in Southeast America.
